We call these people “first-time patients”

  • If it is your first time at this hospital.
  • If you have been to this hospital before but now you have a different illness.
  • If you need to see a doctor for an illness we have treated previously, but more than a year has passed since your last visit.

As of the second visit, you are “a revisiting patient”.

First-time patients should have a referral.

Kyushu University Hospital usually only accepts patients who are referred by doctors at local clinics / hospitals for special tests or more advanced treatments (for the Medical Department).

For the Dental Departments, please see the asterisk mark (**) below.
